It will grow fruit and veg to supply the community café
What a difference a few months make! Groundwork started in earnest at the Kitchen Garden towards the end of 2023 and was completed in March this year just in time for growing season.
We are currently growing awide variety of fruit, veg and flowers. When the veg has been harvested we will take it to the Community Café, situated next door to the Kitchen Garden, to use in our home- made meals every Monday.
You can see from the photos just how much work has taken place and we would like to say a big thank you to our two Community Gardeners, Gordon and Lucy, as well as our dedicated group of volunteers who continue to give so much of their free time to help with this project.
If you have a few hours a week to spare and have an interest in growing fresh produce, then there is still much to be done.
